ADMINISTRATIVE COMMITTEE

WHO? 

President (Sue Chambers-Johnson), President-Elect (Terry Rizzo), Past President (Keith Johannes) and Treasurer (Perky Vetter).  Executive Director (Quentin Christian) serves as an ex-officio, non-voting member.

WHAT?

  • To review and respond to general requests from the membership and external organizations or individuals.

  • To review and revise the annual Association budget as prepared by the Treasurer and Executive Director and recommend its approval and adoption by the Board of Directors.

  • To review, develop and/or modify and recommend policies and procedures which relate to statewide personnel, programs, liaison, membership and fiduciary matters of the Association and to make recommendations to the Board of Directors for approval and adoption.

  • To review and facilitate implementation of all policies adopted by the Board of Directors.

  • To negotiate initial and annual contract revisions with the Office Committee and Executive Director in early spring and make recommendations to the Board of Directors at its June meeting.

  • To recommend candidates for appointment when vacancies occur in statewide positions.

  • To examine and analyze the budget and financial reports on a regular basis and make recommendations for adjustments as necessary.

  • To assure the conduct of statewide programs which promote the goals of the Association.

  • To support and facilitate priority objectives and strategies of the Association as embodied in the Strategic Plan.

  • To ensure appropriate orientation and training of all new state officers.

  • To monitor the progress of standing and ad hoc committees, including conferences and workshops.

  • To serve as representatives of the Association when designated to do so by the President or Board of Directors.

  • To review and/or provide input to the agendas of the Houses and committees.

WHEN? 

The Administrative Committee meets a minimum of six times per year, with conference often held monthly.  In April or May of each year, one meeting shall be scheduled exclusively for the purpose of reviewing budget policies and requests and developing the proposed budget and recommended fiscal policy changes for the following year.
