JUMP ROPE FOR HEART
(JRFH) COMMITTEE
WHO?
The JRFH Task Force shall consist of a Chair (the JRFH Coordinator)
and a representative from each of the five geographical districts. The
Chair shall be appointed by the President with approval of the
Board of Directors for a three-year term. Representatives
from each District shall be appointed by each District Coordinator
for a two-year term. Terms shall be staggered.
WHAT?
The purpose of the Jump Rope for Heart Committee is to insure
the recruitment of an increased number of schools and participants
which, inevitably, will result in an increased amount of dollars
raised. The objectives, which supplement the overall purpose, shall
be to

Become familiar with the resources, activities and mission
of the American Heart Association (AHA)and the American Alliance
for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (AAHPERD).

Establish annual goals, direction and involvement.

Assess available resources, and identify additional needs and
means of acquiring these resources.

Review the rebate procedures and its affect on CAHPERD, CAHPERD
units and participating schools.

Ensure signing of a "Memorandum of Agreement" between
leadership of both organizations.

Establish plans to increase the number and effectiveness of
demonstration teams throughout the state.

Help the AHA in selecting the prizes that will be most appealing
to potential participants.

Respond to requests for information or assistance.
WHEN?
The JRFH Task Force shall meet three times annually: CAHPERD Fall
Board of Directors and House of Delegates meetings; Annual CAHPERD
State Conference; and June or July at the Western States Affiliate
of the AHA.
