MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE

WHO?

The committee shall include a minimum of 5 members, a maximum of 10, including the chair. The Chair shall consult with the District Coordinators who will recommend at least one member from each district for appointment by the President and approval by the Board of Directors, to serve two-year terms on a staggered basis. The constituency should make efforts to reflect the divisions of the association and include one university representative, a school administrator, a future professional and a CTA representative.  

WHAT?

  • Work with the Executive Director and State Office staff to develop strategies in all membership categories for new member recruitment, retention of existing members, and reactivation of former members.

  • Consult with the State Office staff and current leaders to recommend for Board of Directors consideration a variety of quality services and professional opportunities to members.

  • Support the stated objectives of the Strategic Plan.

WHEN?

There shall be at least one regular meeting of the Committee held at the time and place of the Annual Conference.  Two additional meetings shall be held at the time and place of the Board of Directors meeting and/or at a time more convenient for the committee members.
