PROPOSED CAHPERD COMMITTEES 

LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE

WHO?

Five (5) young professionals (one from each District); five (5) experienced professionals/former CAHPERD leaders familiar with CAHPERD’s mission and history

WHAT?        

  1. To create ongoing leadership development plans for new CAHPERD leaders and Districts
  2. Conduct leadership development for new CAHPERD leaders each June.
  3. Conduct a leadership workshop within each District annually.
  4. Help each District create a realistic structure, operating code and strategic plan based on membership, population, needs and interests

WHEN?

Initially, meet as often as needed to create, implement and evaluate sound leadership development plans for new CAHPERD leaders and Districts.

CONFERENCE PLANNING COMMITTEE

WHO?

Conference Manager and Local Committee, Program Chair, Executive Director, President, Past President, President-Elect, representatives from each Leadership Council, a Diversity Representative, a member of the Foundation, and others, as deemed appropriate by the committee. Membership on this committee may change annually.

WHAT?

Create the program for the annual state conference and secure all speakers.

WHEN?

June, September and March (at the conclusion of the State Conference)
