WHO IS CAHPERD?

• Chances are you know CAHPERD at least as well as we know you! But, in case you want some facts…
• CAHPERD is a not-for-profit organization with a 501(c)3 tax status from which many financial contributors are able to gain tax benefits.
• CAHPERD membership includes over 3,000 professionals and students in the fields of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance throughout California.
• CAHPERD’s Journal and other quality publications have a circulation of more than 4,000 and reach professionals
  throughout California, across the nation and in Canada.
• CAHPERD sponsors over ten (10) conferences and workshops annually in the state of California which range in
  attendance from 100 to more than 1,500 with the annual conference being one of the largest state conferences for HPERD professionals in the country.
• CAHPERD is recognized nationally as a leader among other state HPERD associations and have been in existence for 80 years.

WHAT COMMON INTERESTS DO YOU HAVE WITH CAHPERD?

As a Corporate Member, you are joining a professional family that has goals and objectives similar to your own.
Both your company and our organization exist to serve interests of society and, to a large extent, are
dependent upon each other. The interests of CAHPERD focus on quality programs throughout the
HPERD fields, and your company’s interests largely focus on quality products and services for the HPERD professionals (such as textbooks and educational materials, sports equipment, fitness services, clothing, etc. for healthy and active lifestyles). CAHPERD can provide increased opportunities for you to make sales and you, in turn, can strengthen our membership by guiding your HPERD customers to participate in our organization. Additionally, you can enhance the quality of our programs not only as exhibitors, advertisers, and presenters at our workshops, but also through your financial support as a Corporate Member.

WHAT CAN CORPORATE MEMBERSHIP DO FOR YOU?

CAHPERD makes two major contributions to your efforts to market products and services in California. First, we can provide increased visibility and involvement with our professionals. We have a stable delivery system – an organization of more than 3,000 members needing the products and services you provide. CAHPERD provides access to these professionals through our publications and our conferences and/or workshops. Second, our acceptance of your company as a Corporate Member is an endorsement of your
company as a respected and reputable business – one that can be depended on to provide quality service to the California HPERD profession.

As a Corporate Member* you will receive the following benefits with your annual membership fees:

• 10% discount on any advertisements in CAHPERD publications - CAHPERD Journal, Annual
  Conference Prospectus, and Conference Program.
• 10% discount on prime location exhibit space at the CAHPERD Annual Conference.
• 10% discount on “Exhibitor Showcase” program presentation fees at the CAHPERD Annual
  Conference – a 60-minute time slot.
• 10% discount on CAHPERD conference Stuff-It! Program participation.
• 10% discount on booth fees at any CAHPERD event, workshop, or conference.
• Up to three (3) of your designated executives will receive copies of the publications noted above.
  Recognition opportunities at CAHPERD Conventions and Workshops.
• Limited use of CAHPERD membership mailing lists.
• Listing on the CAHPERD website with additional links to your designated website.
• Use of approved CAHPERD Corporate Member logo.
• Recognition in CAHPERD publications and at CAHPERD events of your Corporate Member status.

Additionally, Corporate Members have priority in additional sponsorships to support specific association
projects and/or activities which you select and for which you will receive recognition as a sponsor. Projects/activities selected by others in the past have included such things as:

• Name imprint on conference portfolios/bags given to annual conference attendees.
• Financial support for additional CAHPERD publications such as calendars, conference manuals, etc.
• Financial support for additional CAHPERD events such as the Leadership Conference; Dance,
  Movement and Acro-Sports Workshop; National Adapted Physical Education Conference; etc.
• Financial support for various conference meal functions with opportunity for introduction and
  greetings to attendees.
• Sponsor student scholarships to attend CAHPERD Annual Conferences.
• Special conference items such as “Fun Run” t-shirts.

You may choose to enhance any of the benefits listed above or recommend additional sponsorship ideas for consideration as part of your Corporate Membership.

WHAT ARE THE CORPORATE MEMBERSHIP ANNUAL DUES?

The annual membership fee is $1,500. Corporate support is vital in organizations such as ours which seek to provide quality programs to their members. Your company is probably already making significant contributions in time, service, and money to CAHPERD. Corporate Membership will serve to consolidate the frequent requests for financial contributions and provide a more formal and discounted structure for your continued - and hopefully expanded - support of CAHPERD.
