• Required programs of physical education for all students should include instruction in rhythms and dance.
• Instructional dance experiences should be available to all students in programs of physical education and performing arts.
• The Commission on Teacher Credentialing should offer certification for instruction in Dance.
• All Dance courses should be taught by teachers credentialed in this subject area.
• The Visual and Performing Arts Framework, and the Physical Education Framework, as adopted by the State Board of Education, should serve as the basis for developing school curricula in Dance, grades K-12.
• Dance education personnel and programs should be included in all plans for restructuring schools.
• Dance education personnel and programs should be included in all plans for charter schools.
