California is Losing Funding for Coordinated School Health Programs

This is a Significant Loss for California’s Children and Youth

California will lose federal funds that support Coordinated School Health in our schools and communities unless we are able to convince Congress to increase the 2004 Federal budget.

You Can Help in three easy steps !

Step 1 At the bottom of this page you’ll find all the information you need to take action, including sample letters, a fact sheet on coordinated school health in California, and contact information for members of Congress.

Step 2 Contact at least one member of Congress via email, fax or phone.

Step 3 Ask your family, friends, colleagues, and neighbors to contact one member of Congress

Unless WE Take Action Now ……. California will lose:

  • The “voice” for school physical education and health programs in our state.
  • Training and support for the implementation of the California’s Health Framework, and Physical Education Framework.
  • State Wide leadership provided by the School Health Connections Offices in the Department of Education and Dept. of Health Services.
