Sara Cox graduated from California
State University, Long Beach in Spring 2007 with her Bachelors
Degree in Dance-option Dance Science, as well as her Bachelors
Degree in Kinesiology-option Adapted Physical Education. She is now on her way to
receiving her teaching credential in Physical Education. After
taking her last four classes this Fall, she will go on to
student teach in the Spring.
Sara has had many teaching experiences
that have helped develop her strong passion for teaching. She teaches dance at
a local studio, has coached a dance and cheer squad, choreographed
dance routines for many teams, taught and was the student director
of the Perceptual Motor Development Clinic for children with
various disabilities, and taught and directed Camp Nugget,
a camp for children with various disabilities at California
State University, Long Beach. Sara loves the idea of
teaching children the importance of leading a healthy lifestyle
through physical activity and sport. She can’t
wait to share her love of physical activity with her students.
DESCRIPTION & MISSION
The purpose of the
Future Professionals Section is to:
Promote
the professional interests and coordinate the professional
concerns of students within the fields represented
by the Association.
Provide
a responsible voice for student affairs within the
Association.
Unify
and initiate the development of student units within
the Association and to stimulate the use of communicative
channels and general activities.
Circulate
current publications and disseminate information regarding
student affairs.
