This coming year will be guided by the theme "Our Time" where we will focus on quality teaching, inclusion, research, leadership, advocacy and wellness. We are proud to announce that Mr. Paul Zientarski and Mr. Mike Kuczala will serve as our keynote speakers. So, come be a part of "Our Time" and help us make CAHPERD 2019 a great learning experience!

Hip-Hop/Jazz Funk Master Dance Class with Katisha "Blaze" Adams
   
On Saturday, 2/23, 10am-11:30am - $20 fee to attend - may be purchased on site.

Katisha, former Director and Founder of KPA Fusion Dance Repertoire, has been choreographing, directing, dancing, singing and acting on various stages, television shows and film for the past 20 years.

Mrs. Adams recently opened, co-directed and co-choreographed the new Disney Junior Dance Party Live Stage show at the Disney California Adventure Resort, assisting Tony Award winning director, Dan Knechtges.  She also choreographed The Lion King 23rd Year Anniversary Celebration with the original film cast and recording artist Carmen Twillie for the movie soundtrack, “Circle of Life” at Disney’s D23, alongside Director Marilyn Magness. Other shows that Blaze has choreographed and co-directed include Diamond Mad T Party, Mad T Party, Frozen, Freeze the Night, Pixar Play Parade, as well as Club Destinee and Adventure Isle for Shanghai Disney.  Recording artists that Katisha has worked with are Christina Aguilera, Destiny’s Child, Before Dark (RCA Records), Iyssis, Omarion and Skyline (Disney), in addition to assisting Danny Esralow, Otis Salid, Tim Story and Richard Jackson (Lady Gaga).

Teaching master classes has been a constant part of the journey, just as teaching for Disney Performing Arts, teaching for El Camino College and College of the Canyons. Blaze continues to contract for various projects, shows and tours while also giving back through community theater and dance programs.

CEUs

CEUs were available at the conference. CEUs are no longer available if you didn't sign up on site.

15 hours of class time = 1.5 CEUs

The 2019 CAHPERD Conference qualifies for 1.5 continuing education units.  You will complete an enrollment form (available at the conference) and return it to the CAHPERD representative no later than 2:00 pm on Friday, February 22, 2019.  The fee to enroll is $35 and payable at the time of enrollment. Any checks should be payable to CAHPERD.

Four weeks after the conference, transcripts can be requested from CSU Long Beach.
The cost to order your transcripts is an additional $40, to be paid to CSU Long Beach at the time of request.

Meals

NO full meals will be provided for attendees at this conference, just snacks.

Parking
Parking at the Hyatt Regency Garden Grove is available at a rate of $15 per car, per night.

Refunds
All cancellations for the conference should be made prior to the conference.  If a refund is approved, there will be a $25 processing fee. Refunds are processed AFTER the conference. Please allow up to 4 weeks from the end of the conference for refunds to be processed. Thank you for your patience.
There are NO refunds on Memberships or printed & spiral bound conference Manuals.
